Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub

Detoxing Grapefruit & Pink Himalayan Salt Exfoliation

I recently saw a documentary stating that taking antioxidant-rich product is not so good after all Argghhhhhhhh!!!!! Stop confusing us! Having said that, the logic really made sense whereby our body is perfect. Yippee!!! And that if you take a large dose of antioxidant and I quote: ” your body will show a sharp spike in blood glucose… the body has a mechanism to deal with such a sudden rise, and extra antioxidants in the blood are removed quickly from the blood. This is an example of a process called homeostasis, where the body works to return its antioxidant levels to the ideal.” view source This got me thinking and I have now decided to add a new addition to my blog which I thought I’d call: Art De Vivre, a place to share tips on wellbeing, beauty and where I will attempt to inspire feeling good, inside & out. So let’s begin by using those antioxidants on the outside 🙂 My passion for herbs and spices will still be fulfilled, and I can have a little play with making my own beauty potions! Don’t …

New years resolution

Living in the moment…

Every year (and I am sure I am not the only one) I convince myself that I will not make any new year’s resolutions. And guess what, I end up with a complete list… E.V.E.R.Y. time. For 2016 I have decided to try a different approach. A while ago I saw the film The Last Samurai and there is a scene in it that has stayed with me ever since. Summer: Colour Me Brightly

This last couple of months  have been eventful to say the least… I contracted Labyrinthitis see post here, my really good friend’s mum has been taken very ill (on the slow mend now ), I went on holiday and tore the muscle in my calf, meaning I can’t walk and will probably need another 4 weeks to heal. We had our suitcase stolen including my mate’s passport… meaning that under British law she couldn’t fly back, leaving her stranded in the airport whilst I was carried away in a wheel chair. Coming back to the UK I found that there was an admin error on the insurance meaning no cover… I guess the radio silence might be justified, and you know what, I have 2 choices: I carry on feeling sorry for myself, poor me, little “bobo” I can’t walk properly it happened on the first day of my hols… I couldn’t enjoy it properly moan moan moan…. or I say… F@*& it and what did I learn from it?
